Privacy Policy

Prismoy (“Prismoy,” “we,” “us”) makes a personal color-analysis app for iPhone. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Your photo is analyzed entirely on your iPhone. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else. There is no account to create, and we do not sell your data — because we never receive it in the first place. Your photo stays on your device — kept so you can reuse it later, and yours to delete anytime.
Your photos and analysis
When you take a selfie for a color analysis, the image is processed on-device using Apple’s Vision framework and Prismoy’s own engine. The analysis — reading your skin undertone, depth, eyes, and hair — happens locally on your iPhone. Your photos are not sent to our servers, and we have no way to see them.
Your scan photo is saved on your device. When an analysis finishes, Prismoy keeps that photo on your iPhone so you can reuse it later — trying your palette colors on your own face in the Fitting Room, and creating your shareable reveal film. This isn’t something you opt into; it’s how those features work. While you’re still in onboarding the photo is held in memory only and isn’t written to disk, so if you leave before the analysis completes, nothing is saved. If you pick a photo from your library instead of taking one, that photo is saved on your device in the same way.
What’s stored, and how to remove it. The saved photo is a single image that lives only on your device (and, if you use iCloud backup, within your own Apple account). It stays there until you delete it — Prismoy never uploads it and never deletes it on its own. To remove it, open Profile → “Delete all my data,” which erases your photos along with your analysis, palette, and Color Card. Deleting the app removes everything too.
Face data
Some features read your face from the front camera, including data from the TrueDepth camera (ARKit face tracking) on supported devices. This is used only to power the features you choose to use:
- Color analysis — reading your skin, eye, and hair tones from a selfie.
- Live draping (Studio) — following your face in real time so palette colors can be previewed against it live.
All face processing happens on your device and in real time. Your face images and TrueDepth/face-tracking data are never uploaded to our servers and are never shared with, sold to, or accessed by any third party. We do not use face data for advertising, for identifying you by name, or for any purpose other than the features above.
Storage & retention. The real-time face-tracking data — TrueDepth depth information and ARKit face-mesh geometry — is used only in the moment and is never saved: no depth maps or face-mesh data are written to disk or uploaded. Your color result and your scan photo are saved on your device, as described under “Your photos and analysis” above — on your iPhone only, never uploaded, and removable anytime via Profile → “Delete all my data” or by deleting the app.
Information we do and don’t collect
Prismoy is built to need as little as possible.
- No account. You do not sign up, and we do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the app. Any name you enter for your Color Card stays on your device.
- Purchases. When you buy Plus or Pro, the transaction is handled by Apple’s App Store. Apple, not Prismoy, processes your payment. We receive Apple’s record that a purchase or refund occurred so we can unlock or restore features — never your card number or billing details.
- Diagnostics. If you leave Apple’s standard app-analytics setting on, Apple may share aggregate, anonymized crash and performance data with us. This never includes your photos or color results. You can turn it off in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Optional features that use device data
- Camera. Used for your analysis, the live color mirror, and checking a garment. Frames are processed in real time on your device and are never transmitted. Live mirror and garment-check frames aren’t recorded; when you complete an analysis, that scan photo is saved on your device as described above.
- Photo library. If you choose a photo instead of taking one, or share an image to Prismoy, we read only the image you select, and only on your device. A photo you pick to use for your analysis or Fitting Room is saved on your device the same way your scan photo is, and is removed by “Delete all my data.”
- Approximate location for weather (optional). The daily “Color of Today” suggestion adapts to your local weather. To estimate your general (roughly city-level) area, we look up your device’s IP address through a third-party service, then fetch that area’s weather. We don’t use precise GPS location for this, and we don’t store your location.
- Notifications (optional). If you allow them, we schedule daily and occasional reminders locally on your device. You can turn these off any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
How your purchase unlocks across the app
Prismoy includes a share extension (“Check with Prismoy”) that lets you check a color from another app. To know whether your tier includes that feature, the app stores a small flag in a private, on-device app group shared only between Prismoy and its own extension. This flag contains no personal information.
Children
Prismoy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
- Remove your photos, analysis, palette, and Color Card at any time with Profile → “Delete all my data.”
- Revoke camera, photo, location, or notification access in iOS Settings.
- Turn off Apple analytics sharing in iOS Settings.
- Manage or request a refund for a purchase through Apple (see our Refund Policy).
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
